Ashley Madison’s parent company (Avid Life Media ) has been sued in the U.S. (U.S. District Court in Los Angeles) as a consequence of its data breach. In a John Doe Avid Life Media is sued for negligence, invasion of privacy, and emotional distress. U.S. District Court, Central District of California No. 15-cv-06405.
Avid Life Media was also sued in Canada (see here) in a class-action suit seeking 600M million in damages.
