The Japanese Government has been discussing about extensive reforms in the data protection field. The ongoing topics concern the use of anonymous data, EU adequacy, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Cross Border Privacy Rules and drones, as well as the establishment of an independent Data protection authority.
