On November 19, 2014, Google published a “Transparency Report” representing the ongoing trend for request of removals from search results. The published chart represents requests from copyright owners and reporting organizations asking Google to remove search results that link to material that allegedly infringes copyrights. After a peak in 2014, the number of requests appears to be down again but steadily growing.
